  1. Soldiers needed to submit articles for community events and any other information that they feel may benefit the unit
  2. PFC Biondolillo has aggreed to apply his comic skills and provide us with some laughter
  3. Cpl Stone- talents that go on forever- assisting with web design
  4. Congratulations to Cpl Skinner for stepping up and transfering into the S-3. Cpl Skinner will make a fine asset to the team
  5. New Recruits* IET is the last 2 weekends of this month (august) 23-24 , 30-31st contact your COC for more information
  6. Senior PFC and CPL's interested in attending SLC should notify COC of interest. Slots are going fast

  1. New battalion website is revealed to unit
  2. GO/ NO GO needed for upcoming Air Show. Report to your COC
  3. 2 staff positions are currently available within the S-3 (training) 1 Operations Assistant , 1 Training Assistant slots are available report to S-3 for more information
  4. Updated email notification has been emplemented. Be aware that old emails will be deleted at the end of the month. If you need an extension, please contact Cpl Baxter in S-3
  5. August Drill was very successful. 5 new troops sworn in

  1. August is fast approaching us. Reminder that the 10th is our Monthly Drill and encourage all to attend. If for some reason you are not able to attend, contact your COC immediately
  2. OP Firecracker was a SUCCESS. Great job to all you troops that made an effort to show up and support this mission
  3. Remember the GUARD SUPPORT MISSION- This is a big deal for the GaSDF contact your COC for more information
  4. HAM RADIO CLASS being taught at the Armory that is available to all 190708 at 0800 til 1600. Please email SFC Simmons for more information regarding this class
  5. We have the final word on Mandatory FEMA Courses that are required before your 1 yr of service has come to date
  • IS 5 Intro to Hazmat
  • IS 22 Are you ready, A In depth guide to citizens  preparedness
  • IS 100 Intro to Incident Command System
  • IS 208 State Disaster Management
  • an either IS 288 Role of Voluntary Agencies in Emergency Management, or IS 292 Disaster Basics

  1. AUG. 10th is our next drill date. Please look to see if you are scheduled to teach any classes and have your lesson plans sent to S-3 immediately for approval. If you need assistance/help, contact S-3 for any assistance
  2. Nov. 6-9 is the dates for upcoming Annual Training. Ft. Stewart, GA
  3. 1st BRIGADE DINING OUT Formal military dinner for troops and guest. Cost approx $40 per person. Great event. Roswell, GA
  4. It has been confirmed that the Highway Watch has been shutdown due to funding issues. No further information is provided

Operation Firecracker is only weeks away... make sure you are squared away and stay hydrated. It is going to be a hot one. Reminder that family are welcome to attend the operation to view firework display.... If you have any further questions, contact your COC
